SUB URBAN SAFARI - A Film by Midian    

Premiers at Festival de Cannes 2006 Short Film Corner May 17 – May 28

Midian is a film production company located in Austin, Texas formed by Dana Glover – University of Southern California and Michelle Carter – Cal State San Bernardino. We are excited to announce that our first short film, Sub Urban Safari (Filmed in Austin and Houston, TX ) will be screening at the Festival de Cannes 2006 Short Film Corner May 17 – May 28. The Cannes Film Festival is definitely the largest and most prestigious in the world. Making this is an incredible opportunity for a small start-up film company.

We Truly Need Your Support!

 In September 2005, we began production on Sub Urban Safari, definitely a major task for a two person crew, but we successfully completed production in February 2006. However, in doing so, we exhausted our entire budget and seeking additional funding through pre-order sales to help with the final presentation of this project at the 2006 Festival de Cannes. Sometimes we all need a helping hand, so this is why we are appealing to your good nature and asking you to look deep into your hearts – lend a hand and champion our opportunity to attain the dream of lifetime.

Synopsis
A one day abstract safari through urban and suburban landscape. A unique journey of adventure and discovery of the wildlife and habitats of this great new world. Utilizing a beautiful music score with an African flavor and dazzling visuals, we’re taken from the peaceful open plains to the chaotic world of city wildlife. With the help and experience of our top safari guide, through a unique blend of urban poetry and dance, we enjoy the beginning of a new day exploring the beauty of the vast open spaces. Our next stop allows us the opportunity to explore the splendor of the forest settings and all its many villages scattered throughout. As we venture on, we soon discovery the industrial workings, the heartbeat that actually makes this world tick. We now enter our wildlife reserve. Here you will marvel at the different forms of wildlife as they move freely about in their natural environment. Sorry, no hunting allowed! Sunset and the great migration! The world back at peace.
